Default Cam belt question ??

is there much difference in cam belts ? ive been looking on rcm site and theres 3 different ones i can pick from just wanna see what you guys think ?

i wouldn't pick any of them, the last 2 especially, i buy my parts from here and never had any problems, there is a water pump included in the link i have posted.

Any reason for not buying the last two? Apart from the extra cost involved.

i already have a water pump just looking for a cam belt... im the same as shepster any reason why we should not as there not cheap so cant see them being crap etc ?

I needed a new cambelt and chatted to Alyn at AS Performance.......he sells quite a number of sorts and he recommended an SKF kit. £125 IIRC

Alyn is a more hands on type of retailer and does not list much of his stock on the website Just phone for a chat....... Most stuff arrives next day

no reason just the price, why pay the extra? i cant see the standard run of the mill belt no being up to the job after all the kits shown including the one in my link use spurious bearings.

i'd buy a DAYCO belt kit mate its fiited to many cars from the factory,the only difference is its been marked as there own but it came from dayco or the only other type i use is GATES belts mate

the kit i listed includes the dayco belt or for a extra £20 you can have the gates.
