Default 1.7 Bar MAP Sensor

Want to replace the MAP sensor on my MY '93 due the the loom being stretched at the sensor.

I'm not looking for any gains. I just need to know if i can fit, without any detrimental effects or other mods a later 1.7 bar unit?

I'm aware the wiring is slightly different but i can sort that

Although it will need to be mapped on an ESL (or other ecu) for it to work

Thanx Duncan. So without a remap it will just operate as the standard 1.2 sensor, yes??

I'm not looking to increase boost levels or cut point, just that i can get my hands on a 1.7 bar unit foc, but don't want to fit it if i have to make other changes

No, it will misread until mapped and possibly not even run.
