Default starter motor

Morning all! My starter motor died yesterday and im getting a new from work tomorrow. I've seen the threads on how to replace it and have gained access to it, but once i take it out, is it safe to put the earth lead back on and leave the other wires hanging, so to speak, till tomorrow
Thanks, charlie

hi mate i would disconnect your battery on your car that would be your safest thing to do this way it doesnt matter if your wires touch anything

yeah mate you could rap them up in tape just to make sure. When you are taking off the starter motor i would disconnect the battery just incase you touch something with your spanner while taking off the wires
