P0607 'Control Module Performance' Error code and Engine light on
Hi guys, wondered if you can help, had the above on my car on the way home today....completely shut down (no revs or drive, engine still on though just ticked over), after an accelleration at the traffic lights (fairly hard) and managed to run with no power to the side of the A12. Tried to restart once stopped and wouldn't, it just turned over.....disonnected the battery and then it would start, but still had engine light on.
Nice RAC chap came and reset the above error code he found and drove home fine for 40 miles, tried couple of quick accerlataions and still no error code returned.
06 Hawkeye WRX Wagon with only mods Green panel filter, Hayward and Scott back box and de res section....any thoughts welcome before I chuck it into subaru and take out another mortgauge

Fiestaboy.......... Apologies for the post as I know very little about the Fly by wire throttle of the later newage.......does it have a seperate module or is all the fly by wire stuff held on the ECU ?
Just curious

More likely to be an error with the throttle mechanism rather than the ecu.
Safety dictates than any strange data from the dbw throttle and it goes into limp mode. (wouldnt want ti jamming open)
Check the connector on the bottom of the throttle for short circuits and/or check for sticking mechnaism.

I've seen a couple of throttle bodies that have gone wrong, and also a few throttle pedal assemblys that have been the cause.
IMO it's worth reapplying the standard ROM to the ecu first (as it won't cost anything to do ), then do some datalogging to find out if the throttle ody/pedal is the cause of the problem

Looking at http://www.obd-codes.com/p0607...I was able to lift the black cable of the battery really easy..though it was still full on the battery terminal...couldn't be that easy coud it?
