Default Impreza sport 1996

just bought a 1996 impreza sport with brand new turbo clutch and a years test on it. Got a shot of a mates wagon which is kicking out 350bhp and fell in love, so had to buy his sport off him. Is it possible to fire a STI engine in the sport? Or even just get it turbo'd? Looking for as much power out this car as possible. Budget is probably round about 2k over a year. I'm only 18 and an apprentice coach builder so a bit short on cash. Before you ask insurance its £2010 for 10 months TP F&T. Owned a saxo vtr and still own a 1.4 focus. But always fancyd a scooby. Any help would be great

same boat mate, not worth doing it to sport. Insurance would be more than a standard uk turbo. Sports are still good fun if you tweak handling etc. Enjoy though mate

Adding a turbo engine would just break your car, your insurance would go up due to the increase in performance, you would need to replace most of the car as its not the same as the turbo (gearbox, diff, brakes etc) and if you think it would keep your insurance down being a sport (ie not declaring modifications) that would be a and you would be driving without insurance (of course you may not mean it like that), so search for insurance first, then budget for a uk turbo with the extra cash.
