Post faulty maf maybe????

could my maf be faulty which has a silver label on it be causing my car to idle rich and slightly hesitate at around 3-4k rpm or could it be a hole in the exhaust somewhere or faulty plugs or leads please help me some1 please and would i bennifit from a green or orange maf what is diffrence ?

i dont think i`ve ever head of a silver label maf on a impreza what year is your car?

its a 97 uk 2000 turbo but registered on the 1/1/1997

tbh i`m dont know to much about u.k cars so not sure if they are the same but an import of that year would have had a orange or purple label maf

Turboaddict, the bottom line is that your symptoms could be caused by any of the issues you list in your first post, and several other possible contributors besides, but it is impossible for us, via the internet, to diagnose this for you.

As things stand the best option open to you would be to get the car looked at. If you tell us whereabouts on the planet you are, no doubt someone will be able to point you in the direction of someone good.
