Hello everyone...

Im changing the back brakes on a Uk300 impreza, have got the calipers off but cant get the discs off. Cant see anything holding it on. It wouldn't be the hub nut will it?

Please need help asap....

not to sure as have not changed mine but need to soon but on most cars there is a big possie scew that holds them on and thats usualy it mate

The handbrake will need loosening off , on the backplate there is a rubber grommet , take this out , use a screwdriver to loosen off the handbrake shoe adjuster , its like a nut with lugs , use a flat headed screw driver to turn it , its a bit fiddly , but shouldn't need moving much.
When you fit the new discs , re-tighten it so the shoes just start rubbing , then take it a smidge back

I would never question what Ian says where brakes are conserned, but just to add, you have released the handbrake lever in the car havn't you

Got it done cheers guys.... Was just ceased on abit but with a bit of TLC and a rather large bashing tool we got there
