Default Difference of 400 cell cat and 100 cell cat

Hey all,

I've got a powerflow 100 cell sports cat and MOts are becoming a nightmare, I was thinking of a 400 cell (as recommended by the exhaust maker) but wonder what difference that would make?
I still need my ECU sorting for idle but would the 400 cell help even more to get her through. Dont worry about what restriction that would give as I can sort that...
Note: It's only cat fitted, single.

100 cell (cells per square inch properly) are notoriously bad come MOT time, they have a shorter life anyway, and then to add to that are a pig to get hot, 400 cell will be a lot more reliable in both respects, but you will get a small increase in back pressure.

I've got a TSL Thundercat and that passed the MOT.

Thanks all, sounds like I'm taking the right steps as the car runs bit lumpy anyway so the cat needs to be the best it can be once a year.
