Default Best oils...

Hi guys, i appreciate this probably gets asked all the time so for the i apologise!

Just recently got my first impreza, its an 03 WRX on 52k....(totally standard)

Just wondering what different oils it needs to be run on, and also what are some good ones to use as i want maximum protection..

Engine oil - I think its currently being run on a fully synth ester based oil as its a reddish colour...? Handbook says it should be 5w30?

Gearbox and rear diff - is any 75w90 oil as long as its GL5 rated ok?

Appreciate any replies

Hi mate
Try Opie Oils they use this site and you can get some good deals. If you put all the your cars details on there site they give you all the best stuff to chose from. I use 5-40w full synthetic Silkolene but most Imprezas spes different stuff its a bit of a personal preference as most oils are suitable.
