driving home tonight from work the car cut out at about 4000rpm then fired up then cut out again. i found that if i drove with no load on the engine it ran but the cel light was on.got home had a quick look under the bonnet to see if anything obvious was to be seen. nothing stood out as being wrong however because i,ve got an induction kit with a cold air feed from the inner wing i checked the maf - it was wet through!! further inspection found that the cold air feed pipe had water in it!!
although it p***ed it down for most of the the car was parked up, this is also the heavyest rain we have had since i fitted the kit - i will have to relocate the open end of the infeed pipe for starters.
i dried eveything out fitted it back together but the cel light is still on.
any ideas?
