Default SILKTRAN SYN 5 75W-90

I have put this in my MY06 Spec D STI.
Up front, it is cool, but in the rear, it seems to make the rear diff a lot less slippery, which makes for much grinding and groaning from the rear on tight turns when accelerating ie car parking and pulling out into junctions.
Anyone else had this issue?
Might be an idea to run a milder oil in the rear?

Yeah, they do groan a lot to my ear.
I always set DCCD to green when reversing/pootling about at the start of my journey.
