external wastegate help

hey, i have had an external wastegate fitted today

the car is a 97 sti, sard BOV, induction kit and exhaust - otherwise standard.

now the car is running with little or no boost!!! can anyone offer any information as to why i am experiencing this problem?

Are you using a internally gated turbo ??

He states the car is pretty much standard, if he did have an uprated turbo, i'm sure that would have been mentioned first, i know i would.

My money is on this being a catastrophic FAIL !!

let's hope he hasn't caused much damage yet, who's idea was it to put an external wastgate on there? if I was you I would stop driving the car and take it to someone who knows what they are doing.
