Default closed deck block

hi got open deck block and need engine rebuild so going to get closed deck block ,what should i pay

Tony is asking this as unless your going over the power stated a closed deck is pointless and a waste of money,put it towards the internals on the build mate

A semi closed will be fine for that power level

Yes, he does.

It's the best/strongest you can get - so good for well over 500+ - should you go there now, or in the future...

Your soon get bored at 420 and want more, so why waste your time and money when you could just get a CDB... what will run alot more in the future

Ive just got myself a CDB for the future as there only going to get rarer

i will have 2.1 up to 550 bhp rcm oil pump,rcm,pulleys,fmic,latrel injectors,light fly wheel, rcm 321, fuel lab fpr,simtec,rcm oil catch tank,decat eqaul headers. it should make 420bhp and have very little lag and be a quick road car/track car which is driveable

FWIW the Classic open deck block has no problem working over 500 bhp but by comparison the semi open deck 2.5 can have block issues at that power level.

Running a semi closed deck block 2 litre engine at 523bhp @ 2 bar with no issue

I sold mine yesterday for £400 which had low compression but the block was in good condition.
