Bogging down when cornering
Hi
I went to crail yesterday and while on the oval I found if I turn hard to the right the engine bogs down, like its not getting the fuel it needs, then 2-3 secs later it comes back to life. If I turn left its fine, only had the car a week so I'm quite disappointed but heres hoping its an easy fix ! Its a 1997 V3 Type R if that helps
Any ideas appreciated ?

Avoid similar driving in future unless you've ideally got at least half a tank, you may be alright with slightly less than that.
The pickup is starved of fuel as it all sloshes to the opposite side of the tank, which will make the engine bog down, cut out, and run lean (not good).
If you want a proper fix, look into swirl pots.
You can also get in-tank solutions which help to remedy the problem and do away with any external pumps/tanks/piping you may have with a proper swirl pot:

It's designed for a newage fuel pump assembly, so needs to be modified to mount/connect up to a classic assembly, so just minor issues I believe.
I'm afraid I can't help you with the installation anymore than that, as I've never carried out or seen the mods being done, but any good subaru tuner/mechanic should know or be able to figure it out.
Also look into swirl pot setups, which are more effective (since the the in-tank unit can still suffer with low fuel) but they aren't as neat as the in-tank solution, as you have to mount the swirl pot itself somewhere, and then connect up extra tubing, and an external pump.
