Is a centre section with a resonator worth changing for a through pipe??

My Sti has a centre section with a resonator.
I assume its a resonator - its a bulge with nothing in it.
Will I see much noise/performance difference if I swap to a Scoobysport centre section ?
Does the Scoobysport centre pipe not have a resonator ?
I already have a Scoobysport downpipe & backbox.
Anyone help?

Interesting question. I would be keen on the answer to this, as I recently had a full 2.5inch system installed, and after specifically asking for no centre resonator, appear to have one anyway.
Wondering if I should be going back and kicking up a fuss, or whether the effort is worth it for stuff-all gain.

Since asking this question - I have found a dyno run for an Sti with & without Scoobysport centre section.
There seems to be a good increase on the dyno run (extra 5 bhp or so)
But I would like to hear from anyone who has any "real" experiences of before & after....

Have changed the centre section on my P1 for a magnex straight thru pipe, which along with the ss downpipe & magnex rear box has made it alot louder!! Couldn't say whether any performance gain was achieved tho!! but sounds awesome
