Clutch pedal after cylinder change.
Right, I've just had my clutch master cylinder replaced by a "family mechanic"...not my side of the family btw.
The reason I let him loose on the car in the first place was because while stuck in traffic on the M25 last week, I depressed my clutch pedal, clutch worked as it should but the pedal remained on the floor causing me to lever it up by hand.
Now he kindly fitted a new master cylinder after finding it to be at fault, bled the system and according to him set the cluthch pedal up propperly??. However when I now depress the pedal it practically falls the first 3/4's of the way and then you fill it go past some kind of pre-tension point before it actually dis-engages the clutch on the last 1/4 of it's travel. He seemed quite proud of the fact it now does this
Also when I release the pedal it doesn't fully return to it's rest position.
Does anyone have any ideas on what this guy has done to my car???
Please help
it's a v4 sti btw
