Default hesitant under throttle

hi, my mates sti v2 n reg drives lovely, then suddenly sometimes when u go to accelerate it hesitates and is being held back. if i removed my foot off throttle and back on it accelerates fine. happens on soft and hard acceleration, will drive fine then for a while and does it again, not really a pattern to it.

iv check for any vacuum leaks and checked ecu as check light came on, but no codes where shown. and no leaks.

car drives as should, powers well until it decides to hesitate, splutter and then goes again.

looking for as many possibilities to check as il be having car over in week to test it.

im thinking coil pack, plugs, fuel pump, throttle position sensor?

any help appreciated guys

cheers matt

Also check the MAF, we had a misfire/ splutter at 4000 rpm under hard acceleration and it was the MAF.

Could be the MAP sensor you can check this by checking the voltage.

I had this problem, after buying 2 MAFS and then realising it was a hole in the IC pipe under the IC and two coil packs, worth a look
