Default one for the detailers

i want to machine polish my car and get rid of the light scratches and swirl marks that i cant remove by hand! i dont want to go mental but just get it a bit better than by hand!
basically i have a rotory which i have used at work a couple of times but not to this scale and that was only messin about on the odd panel!
my questions are what pads/polishes would you recomend? and once you have worked the polish what would you use to buff it off?....cloth or pad on polisher? when iv used it before the polish was very hard to buff off by hand!

any input will be good!!

once youve used the compound use 3m anti holigram polish and micro fibre cloth to remove fella then a good rosa polish by hand and again micro fibre cloth to remove and put your shades on and watch it shine

Use Eurow double density towels to buff off, there is a group buy on Detailing World at the mo. They are lovely and soft!!
