Default Hesitating Hawkeye???

Here we go.....I drove the car (normal) about ten miles to a friends house, left it 20 mins then got back in as I put my foot down in 1st from 2-3k it hesitated.....2nd gear just as the turbo begins to spool up, done it again. its constantly doing it in every gear but not so quick in 5/6 gear?
Can anyone give me a pointer to the problem?
The cars a JDM Hawkeye, mods as per type 20 if that makes a difference?
Thanks

That happened to me - was hesitant between 2500 and 3000 rpm if I remember right.

na its, i think over boosting? it just cuts back....bang bang jolt jolt, for want of a better explanation? I had a similar problem with an RS Turbo that used to almost instantly hit max boost and cut back, that was a tiny hole in 1 of the pipes. this is similar but dont know where to begin looking?
