Default FAO 440cc/300bhp owners

could some one tell me what their fuel pressure is set to with this spec?

after melting a piston on my V2 WRX ive decided to go for parrallel fuel lines and 440cc injectors, but i obviously need to run the re-built engine in before i can get it mapped again.

car was brought with a z4 ecu and ESL daughter board mapped by power enginering to 1.2bar (although 1/1.1 is the max ive ever seen on the boost gauge) already fitted, so i think the 10 year old 380cc's cant flow as much as they once could, so ran lean and detted a piston.

was it proven the 380's were at fault? if you have already fitted the 440's without having it mapped you run the risk doing the opposite of what happened before and killing your engine with bore wash, how do you know the 440's are going to flow correctly?

as a comparison i had some 13year old 440's injectors cleaned and flow checked before fitting and not one of them was flowed less than 440cc, before cleaning.

no, not been proven the 380cc's were at fault. but decided to go this route for peace of mind, surely the mapper will tell me if its still detting for what ever reason (fuel pump etc).

440's were brought from a member on here and come with a receipt for being ultra-sonicly cleaned and flow tested.

and no, engine is still in engine builders.

sound at least you got some half decent injectors can you not get your mapper to flash a running in map to the ecu so all is well with the injectors?

i thought about that, but i can't warrant paying £200 for 1000 miles... might be better in the long run tho

if you are using the same mapper there should be little or no charge as they will get the work at the end of the running in period.
