Classic Impreza turbo not making more than 15psi boost and used to run 25psi? Can drive car perfectly at 15psi but when turn adjustable boost controller to any more just sounds like a continuous wet fat from exhaut (is best way to describe noise without hearing it) used to run 25psi with no problems. Doesnt matter if hard on throttle or slowly accelerate just cant get more than 15psi without car hesitating. I have a programmable ecu, uprated injectors, fuel pump etc etc to run 450bhp. Have subbed a map sensor and fitted a new turbocharger as old one sarteted to smoke but still no high boost. Cant find any split pipes. Im thinking turbo actuator on ecu map? Or would spark plugs cause this? All help and suggestions appreciated! Cheers.

25 psi sounds a lot
have you defo checked your vac pipes for slight pin holes or splits

Cured!!!!!!!!

Well I never, a set of new spark plugs cured this fault!? To say the ones in car were new about 1000miles ago and were laser platinum PFR7B cant belive it.

But hey, cured now and at full power again!
