Default Engine Identification number

H peps a above really, ive got a new block for my car but i need to find out what version it is, any one no where abouts its located or have any pics? the engine is out of the btw

afaik they just say EJ20 on the top??

You should be able to tell if it's STI or not from the pistons, closed deck is obvious, if you take the sump off and take pics I think more experienced people will be able to tell you whether it's early or late?

it does say EJ20 on top, just that i need to order new head gaskets etc.. so need to make sure got the right parts
