Default is this a sti? (pics inside)





the seller believes its 1995 wrx sti v2 but im not sure to tell the truth

GC8C48D is the model code

it is white with black skirts and rear corner splitters, has sti sticker on rear and sti foglight covers

it has a shortshifter

doesnt have center diff switch

it just says wrx on logbook

its a wrx intercooler. they did have the silver inlet on some of the sti v2's

if its the early sti v2, it should also have a cdb, and the ecu should be an 6k

it doesnt have the center diff switch thing, where is the ecu and how to tell if its a 6k?

early sti's did not have the dccd only sti-ra's the car pictured is a wrx.

As above, that model code is for a wrx. Seems someone else on here has just been sold one of these as an STi (or even STi RA).

Good to check before you buy

should also say sti on the id plate.
and the code should be: gc8c5ed

im sure thats the code anyways

Log book makes no difference, they say all sorts. Mine currently says "SUBARU" and that's it. No model.

my 94 sti had a silver alloy i/c

and a plaque on o/s suspension turret telling you sti build number

and an sti plaque on the alternator/power steerng pump cover

so 100% its a wrx then?

am i losing much by it not being a sti on a 1995?

how much money should i be trying to get off the price then?

depends what you want mate obviously there are big differences between the 2 in power and spec. a wrx is always going to be worth less than a sti on same year.

im sure it was only the engine that was different.
had the mid level spoiler, the ecu as said.

im sure the struts were uprated to. but not 100% sure

how much is it first then i can tell you but me personally i wouldnt pay over 1500 quid unless it was absolutley mint, sti 2k but more if it was a minter maybe upto 3k
