My girlfriend recently bought the 93 1.8 gl non turbo impreza Automatic version
Behind the steering wheel on the coloumn in front of the clock there is a switch which has a red marking on it and says postion.
Does anyone know what this is for? when i press it nothing at happens.
Also just behind the handbreak you have a switch that says manual and auto, which lights up.
Again when u press it nothing seems to happen. i was told it was for its icey so at a gues i thought maybe manual turns traction control off (that is just a guess as i have no idea)

If anyone could please help as not knowing is bugging the hell out of me

The switch on the column turns the sidelights on when parked, no idea on the other one.
