Default Wheel Bearing

Hey,

since fitting some new wheels, bit wider off-set I've got a wheel bearing droning noise every now and again...had it jacked up but no play in any of the wheels. think it must be a wheel bearing...just ordered one but is it a big job? i have somebody to press out and back in the bearings.

thanks,

Have you swapped the wheels around to prove its not one of those/tyre first?

Wheel bearings can be well noisy without any detectable play - until you take the driveshaft out then it can look alarming. Bolted up driveshaft tends to hold it straight disguising play.

i have this exact problem. i put on some 17s with 215/45/17 and am getting drone noise at 30-40mph.
i have had 1 x wheel bearing done cos there was some noise from it when listening with a mic and phones but the noise is still there.
the tyres are yoko prada 2.
i am putting it down to the tyres now as ive been told they are known for this.

hmmm interesting then...I swap wheel front to back see how that goes...noise sounds like it's coming from the rear drivers side so pretty specific.

I have Michelin pilot sports all around...
