Removing hosing from BOV...?
If i was to remove the recirc hosing from my BOV so the air didn't go back into the system, would i get a "Pshhh"?
Also would it damage the engine?
Thanks

If it's a factory DV you shouldn't do it, it will leak on part throttle and cause the car to run rich. Besides which the factory DV will just make it sound like your car is suffering from asthma if you seperate out the recirc side.

You will get a pfssssh - but it prob won't be as loud/tuneful as a dedicated aftermarket BOV.
I had a split in my recirc hose some time ago and you could hear it, but it wasn't that loud (albeit not all of the diverted charge was dumping to atmos obviously).
You'll basically be a bit rich when closing the throttle shut after coming off boost. I doubt you'll damage your engine, as such, via overfueling (possible bore wash) - but you'll probably go from a sweet running engine, to a not so sweet one... all for the sake of 'pursuing' some strange noise.
Choice though, as ever, is the owner's.......
