Default Apexi PFC issue

Hello,
I have an Apexi PFC fitted and mapped to my RB5 (MY99) but it has developed an idle problem.
It will sit at approx 1000 rpm (it sometimes hunts a bit).
if I touch the throttle it will rev as normal but when I release the throttle it drops right down to 400 - 500 rpm, almost stalling (it does stall occasionally).
It then slowly creeps back up to 1000 rpm, it takes about 8 seconds to do this.
It first started happening last year, I thought it was the ICV which I replaced but it still had the same problem, then the MAF went and I had timing belt issues so it was off the road for a while, I stuck the standard ecu back in when it was off the road and replaced the MAF and timing belt, its been running fine since then.
I thought that maybe the idle issue had been caused by the faulty MAF so I stuck the Apexi PFC back on the other day, it ran for a few hours no problem but after that it started doing exactly the same again.
Has anyone got any idea how to remedy the problem? or has anyone had a similar issue?
Cheers!

Take it to a specialist one that deals with Apexi ECUs in paticular. It could be a few things, but it could well be that it needs the map sucking off the Power FC, reinitialise the power FC then put the map back on. Or it could be a cam timing issue as the factory ECU will try very hard to keep the car running where the PowerFC may just bail out.

A lazy lambda usually makes the car idle rich and not slow. Unless the lambda is totally screwed and the voltage is high (an internal short to the heater). Take it to someone that knows it inside out and you'll have an answer in half an hour I would guess.
