Default VF35 heat jacket

Hi gents/ladies just after a little information recently gone through modding my 05 plate wrx and fitted a VF35 and decat exhaust although the downpipe and uppipe have been heat wrapped the turbo heat shield has been left off due to not fitting and looking aweful but really need to deflect the heat from the brake/clutch reservoir.Could anyone give me some info and web sites where i can buy a heat jacket to wrap around the turbo have heard you can get them with valcro straps?

Thank you in advance.

Contact Harvey Smith: http://www.geocities.com/harveysmith3000/

He'll advise a sensible route. Does a DIY kit for around £85-90 that'll wrap two turbo's - split the cost with a buddy

hi martin, very suprised that you are changeing to a vf 35 as i think you are taking a step backwards if your chaseing power figures as your spool up will come far later than your td04 and yet still only manage about 240 b.h.p give or take 10 !! hope i have not offended you but i think you should have gone for a vf 34 !!!!

I bought this one, just fitted it today.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbo-beenie-...item27b1a65f07

Arrived quick and good price as well. The trouble with the kits you get over here is they go brittle very quick and a pain to make as most are one size fits all, and if like me you have to keep replacing gearboxes they soon fall to bits when you remove them to get at the downpipe.

I know this is off topic, but that gen goes against everything I read on here. More like 320bhp give or take 10 dependant on supporting mods. Also, I was under the impression that there is very little real world difference between the VF34 and 35.

yeh, cant wait !! not had the parts fitted yet though!! api are fitting the day before the mapping !! injectors are 440,s as could not get 550,s anywhere at the right price so i settle for a fuel regulator to whack the pressure up a bit to help them out a bit !!
