eerrmmmmm NO!

If the car is completely de-catted you will need to put the DP back on and that is a friggin ball ache for the sake of a 40minute test.

If you still have the Cat in the DP you won't need to put the center back in.

If you;ve had the cat off in the past not to hard a job, warm the engine, then 5 x 14mm bolts(4 of which you can do from the top),and axle stands to do the bottom bolt attatching to the turbo. Then its 1 bolt onto the bracket, and finally 2 x bolts on to your middle section. I am no mechanic but have fitted 3 downpipes in the last 9 days
p.s remember to unplug your lambda sensor before removal(if fitted depending on MY)

But if your bolts are rusted, then you got a problem

Thanks,
Sam

Very true sam , but if he has had the original cat taken off and a decat fitted, bolts should be fine as they have already been off. My car had original cat on and is 10 yrs old, got the engine hot and added some wd40 , bit of smoke but all bolts came off easily.
