Default Walbro 255 Pump Fitted, Safe to cane it?

As title suggests, I have fitted a 255 Walbro fuel pump as I am going to be putting larger injectors in car. Injectors wont be going in for a while. In the mean time however it is safe to give the car some hammer or will shoving too much fuel into the engine cause problems????

Was told to take it steady but just want a second opinion.Cheers in advance for responses.

As above Shouldn`t have any issues, Won`t put any more fuel into the engine as the fuel pressure/injector set up hasn`t changed yet.
