Question What the f**k are Headers???

As title ^^^^^ is this some fancy new way of describing exhaust manifolds or something totally different?

I know I'm getting old (38), but Headers to me were always what you did when a ball came at you that was too high to kick

Just go with the flow, at your age you'll only get stressed and go grey if you worry about headers vs manifolds. Us youngsters (37) can live with the stress

Headers are the pipes carrying exhaust gases from the exhaust manifold into the uppipe, which collects the gases to feed into the turbo

Yes sorry gents, I just find all this renaming of things odd, like I say its probably my age and maybe my Ford RS background which I enjoyed but must appologise for...........they were simple, entertaining, unreliable and very expensive.........bless them

Headers still belong on the school playground for me though...........LOL

Headers is very much a North American term for what we would usually call the exhaust manifold (as mentioned above).

Bottom line, we all know (with, evidently, the exception of the OP ) what is meant by the term, which is all that matters at the end of the day...

Yes, it's another dreadful Americanism. I hate it, too!
I remember it in American hot rod magazines back in the late '50's
