Default fans not working part 2?

i asked a few questions about my fans not working on my 95 sti and had some very helpfull tips, now ive changed the coolant temp sensor and checked the fans are working with the green test connectors under the dash, they still dont kick in when red hot.
im thinking theres a broken wire now so does anyone know where the wires from the coolant temp sensor go, or can anyone think of any other reason why the fans dont kick in when red hot.
thanks, phil.

fuse maybe or maybe the clip right by the headers at the middle bottom of your rad may have melted

The wiring harness should be clipped in place along the bottom of the rad Phil - quite common for the harness clip to come off/rot away/be disturbed and the harness comes in contact with the headers and melts.
Worth checking first.

finally sorted it and i am very relieved, it was an incorrect sensor to the water temp gauge and a very weak exspansion tank cap, it gave a wrong reading making me think it was hotter than it was, so no damage done hopefully,
thanks very much to all who helped me get it sorted.
