Did a long journey last Wednesday (200+ miles). Car was fine all the way. Stopped and re-started the car without issue a couple of times along the way. Parked up on Wednesday evening.

On Saturday morning (having not used it since the Wednesday) I couldn't even unlock the car with the key-fob. Had to open the doors with the keys. The alarm didn't even go off and there was no power at all to anything in the car.

Any ideas on what it might be and how to diagnose?

Not yet. Still charging my portable battery to give it a go.

i know it sounds silly but when u connect it up check to see if anything was left on , interior light , side lights , anything like that
if not then once started leave running for a bit and see if it puts any life in to the battery

It sounds as if it's totally discharged the battery?

Got an alarm? Some will do this.
Is your alternator charging?

You didn't inadvertantly leave the sidelights on did you?
