Default Chassis stiffened by a harness bar ?

So is this just snake oil ?

Or did anyone notice a change in their car's handling after fitting a harness bar ?

TIA

I cant see how it would make that much difference... i think fitting strut bars will have more of a difference then a harness bar.

Oh Jeff,

you need to get down with the "yoof" scene....

It's a piece of scaffolding that fixes to the seat belt mounting points, to allow harness straps to be alligned more suitably in the car.

I very much doubt that most drivers would notice if you removed a strut brace, IMHO. I do believe a front lower brace can only be a good thing....

Got to be snake oil, unless it was a bar going straight across between the door pillars how is it going to provide extra stiffness?

ive fitted a rear bolted cage to the bug and found no tell tale sign its stiffened anything BUT before i bolted everything down tight i used the car for work (it got dark so had to wait till another day) and found that the cage creaked and pulled slightly when driving firmly.

when i got the time to bolt it down hard i found the paint had rubbed away.it seems the car was flexing slightlty between floor and rear quarters.after fixing all movement had gone!

not sure if it was just the placebo affect but we did think it made the classic chassis a tad stiffer when fitted. the classic is kinda flexy though!
