Advice on ECU options for Classic.
I`m new to the Scoob, so am trying to find as much info as possible before I do daft things with it.
I have a preface 1995 WRX and want to know if its possible to remap these, and if not what options have I got available??
I`ve an Omex 710 ecu in my other car, so could use that.
But what options are available and also who/where does them for a reasonable price??

the best reasonable price ecu you could get for your car would be a esl board which allows live mapping of the original jecs ecu, about £550.00 all in fitted and mapped, although they are starting to come up second hand now for example one went yesterday on e bay for £122, add the mapping ontop you have got a good live mapped ecu

His business is Race Dynamics. He posts on here as username "dynamix". Based in East Anglia, but does travel.
So does Jolly Green Monster and, I think, Andy Forrest. All of them are top drawer mappers, and I think all 3 can supply/fit/map the ESL Live.
All I know is dynamix does have the MAFless version of it... not sure about JGM and AF though...

Right talking to the previous owner, and he recons when he bought it the first UK owner said it had been remapped, and was running 311bhp, up from 280bhp standard.
Question is where is the ECU on the scoob and how can I tell whats been done??
If its an aftermarket ECU should be easy to spot, but these ESL daughterboards where do they go??

Although that appears to be a std Z4... it might just have a mappable ESL Live or Simtek daughterboard inside it....
But yeah, defo not an Omex ECU... unless, of cousre, the Omex is a replacement board a la the ESL and Simtek?
