oh dear , oil prssure.
my 94 classic, oil warning light coming on at high revs, 5k plus. but my oil pressure gauge not changing?at those revs its sitting 90-100 psi
at idle its around 60psi even when hot, seems abit high i thought, altho how relaible the gauge is i dont know.
oil was changed 10 weeks ago-ish. level is ok
silkolene pro s/r 10 w 50
no unusual noises from engine.
oil pump? or just fcked engine, whats best way to diagnose?
cheers

oil pressure switch wiring rubbed and shorting to the block..
if gauge is fine then it cannot be pressure issue.. if low enough oil pressure to put the light on the engine would be knocking like crazy

thanks for above
the gauge is not dropping pressure - its holding 60psi hot at idle and 90-100 at good revs. my worry is - is that not a bit high oil pressure at idle, therfore meaning the gauge maybe incorrect. it does rise with engine speed.
no knocking noises at all - its just strange its coming on only at higher revs,
ill check like you said simon the wiring route for the sensor
cheers
