What do you gain by performing the resonator delete mod?

My resonator is broken, so I'm looking at either deleting it for £30 or replacing it for £10.

Any info would be great,

A tiny increase in the volume of induction noise.

However, you haven't asked what you lose. Under some circumstances this can be some consistency in mass airflow measurement. I'd rather have that than the noise.

Would say there is no increase or decrease in performace, at least not anything noticable. But you can here more induction noise and standard dump valve noise.

i removed mine but left the downpipe on that feeds the airbox, i had no improvement in sound or performance, but then again with my exhaust note and blitz d/v i wouldn't anyway lol

Thanks for the info, I'll go down the route of replacing my broken resonator with a new one instead of the delete mod. Don't want to take any gambles with my maf
