You need to be more informative in regards to what your goal is and what modifications you have.

To make the best use of a 20g a few choice mods would be essential. To mention a few -

New i/c
injectors
exhaust
fuel pump
clutch needs thinking about
gearbox would be stressed if the turbo was maxxed

...............more details required

Your "phase 1" WRX heads will limit power to around 380bhp usually. Best to go for a TD05H 18g from harvey or Andy F. Or maybe a TD05H 20g (a bit laggier, but could potentially make c.20+ bhp more).

I think the 06 refers to the exhaust housing size, and I'm sure it's considered too big for a 2.0 with the early limiting WRX heads i.e. simply not needed and too laggy.

In any case, if you still have the std. internals/box, you really don't wanna go over 350bhp anyway. So you could simply get mapped on your exisitng 16g (plus supp mods) - should see anywhere between 320-350bhp.

You'll need another remap plus look at the bits that Brun listed if you still have standard parts.
What uprated parts are fitted other than a decat and an FMIC?

i used have black 94 wrx. which was running standard internal on 16G running at 340bhp, with full suporting mods. all i can say is that it didnt last too long. As my piston ring snapped and i had started burning allot of oil ad then car ran on 3 pistons. so i wouldnt recomend running a 20g on a standard block.

In regards to your 20g i hope you brought Andy forest 20g or harvey smith 20g and not one of those cheap TBO marked turbos of ebay which are being sold as 20g's.

in regards to your ecu. you have to get the car remapped with the 20g. you cant just stick in any ecu in the car and assume the map on it will work fine. As you need to take into account AFR. Timing, boost and injector duty cycles.

should always ask b4 you buy

that sounds like you will have too big a turbo for your spec so you cant run it to its potential so you are going to get alot of lag for no reason.

18g or a vf34/35 i would have thought would have been better

Agree with the above. ^^^

Also, don't rule out Scooby Clinic's new SC36 Billet! The sleeve bearing version is only £750 + VAT!...

The fully forged engine that you will need to run this turbo reliably will set you back 3.5-4k, you will need a new gearbox (6 speeds are approx 2.5k with the rear diff or a ppg is about 4.5k and not as strong), a new uprated clutch (not a paddle one), uprated brakes (650-1k), fmic, but you already have one of those ) new injectors, fuel pump etc, just say 10k in total, or sell up, buy a new age STI for 8k, spend 3k on it and have a 400+bhp beast
