Yes your car will need fuel and air.

If you can be a little more specific with your request someone may be able to help you a bit more.

You are possibly asking whether your car will need remapping when the new pistons go in. 'Probably' would be my answer - how did the original pistons die ? If that issue hasnt been solved then the new pistons will go the same way as the old ones.

I have no idea on what mods/spec/ecu so impossible to advise any further.

cheers for that.bearing spun on 3 so decieded to put new shells and pistons at same time,cometic1.6mms,but otherwise all standard v4 type r ,sorry for randomness but working all hrs to pay for parts oh the joy

Ok - I would def recommend getting your chosen mapper to at least check the air/fuel mixture and any presence of det before giving it some. Would not be good for the same thing to happen again.
