Default Gearbox snatching type feeling

on MY00 UK.
Its something I've had for ever, but have just changed my driving style to suit. But now I wan't get my car perfect (ish).

Basically in first and seconf, you have to really ride the clutch out to stop, what feels like, the gearbox snatching forward.

Was under there today for an oil change, but how can I tell if the gearbox mounts are perished?

Anyone know how much they are from a dealer, standard ones?

Has the car been remapped?mine used to do this when i first got it then after it was remapped the gearchange is smooth and you dont need to slip the clutch.

Of course it shouldn't do that, have it checked out by a tuning specialist before you do anything else. It could be due to a host of things, including bad clutch judder, but I'd expect a professional to know.

what clutch has it got if its standard id get it checked but if its an uprated or paddle type then that could be it, some heavy duty type clutches can be very snatchy in first and second gears due to tougher springs.

I have got an ECUtek'd ecu, but its not my map, but for simular mods. But thats been fine like that for a few years.

Its standard clutch, and I do get the judder, but thats another thing I have learnt to drive with.

Does no one else think it could be the gearbox mounts?
