steering wheel thing

Default steering wheel thing

hi guys i have fitted a sti nardi steering wheel to my99 uk turbo but i think there is somethin missing because it wont cancell indicators or power my horn.
so does anyone know whats missing and if so how i can get the missing piece

You're missing two separate parts. There's a collar that clips into the stalk mount that engages with holes in the back of the steering wheel and disengages the indicator.

Then there's a little spring-loaded brass pin that sticks out of the moulding underneath the steering column with a wire that connects into the loom that touches the contact ring on the back of the wheel to complete the horn switch circuit.

You should be able to get both from the car you got the wheel from if it's being broken.

As an aside, have you checked whether your insurance company want a surcharge for the wheel change (and airbag removal)? If not it might be worth bearing that in mind before shelling out on extra bits to make it work. Validity of your policy might be a bit questionable without notification too. It'll fail an MOT without a functional horn, and not really a good idea to be driving without one either - so one way or another that needs sorting.

i have trade insurance matey so it makes no odds to me really.

and the wheel was purchased from ebayas it is

i shall look for on ebeing broken now because i want these parts
