I hope someone can help me, my car is driving my crazy.
Iv got M reg 1995 import, it pretty much standard apart from the de-cat, fuel pump and dump valve, over the last few weeks its started to misfire, when i get to a roundabout in anygear, let off the acceleration and then back on again there is just nothing (i could put my foot to the floor) and then it judders then goes again. Iv tried a second hand maf which came off a working car.
When i fire the car up in a morning it will idle fine for a few minutes then the revs drop off and judders and coughs, its like theres no fuel in the car, and i usually get a strong smell of petrol.
Has anyone got any ideas or had the same problem??? please

I had a problem with misfire a few months ago i changed the fuel pump and put in some new spark plugs it solved the problem with me sometimes scoobys seem to have a mind of there own hope this helps

The fuel pump was only changed last year, and plugs aswell!!

coil packs mate. the leads always break down

I would sugest the coil packs bud - they crumble around the necks uder the rubbers! also I had loadsa trouble wiv mine whe the plugs were loose and gapped incorrectly!! give it a whirl!!
