The NGK catalogue says the gap should be 0.8, as for oil it depends on how the car is driven, if it's used normal day to day then any decent quality oil approved by Subaru and changed as per the service book will be fine, if however it gets track action you need to think more carefully, the odd trackday will be fine (although I'd change it after the trackday) but regular or serious track use will need a more specialist high-tec synthetic oil, Motul, Millers, Fuchs etc all have high quality specialist oils in their range that will do the job, everyone as their own personal favorite, I use Motul 300V Chrono 10W-40 and so for no problems.
No matter which brand you prefer what you are looking for is a fully synthetic multi ester oil of a viscosity to suit your intended use.
For further info search for 'the oilman' and 'opie oil' for more options.
