Question CHANGING THE OIL !!

now i know there is a big thing about this but i just want to know does the crank sensor just simply unplug or is it bolted down ect. Are there any pics of it knocking about?

And yes i will fill my oil filter before refitting i just need to know about thte crank sensor so i can prime the system without putting it under load !

Thanks

if you are going for the crank sensor removal after refill you just remove the connector from the sensor NOT the sensor its self, it is above the crank in the middle at the front (just to the left of altenator)
theres a pic here..

i just disconnected it mate, really easy. Cranked for about 10 secs until oil light went out. The car did throw a CEL but it cleared itself.

thanks guys. Is it the little orange sensor with the grey plug that you just unplug? so Basically i
1 remove sump plug & drain oil
2 remove filter
3 Fill the filter to the top with oil before reffiting
4 fill with oil
5 remove crank sensor
6 crank till the oil light goes out
7 Reconect sensor
8 check oil levels after short run

just make sure you identify the correct connector to unplug before draining oil, you can test this before dropping the oil by cranking and it not starting, then follow the procedure as you outlined, done this 3 times on my scoob with no problems
