Sorry if this is abit basic to some of you guys but.. I have a leak on what i now belive to be the power steering rack which i will book in at the dealers tommorrow under warrenty, but upon getting the scooby up on ramps in mates garage we noticed a proper bodge job of a weld attempt on what seams to be a metal plate just below the turbo and to side of the down pipe. Any idea what this plate is or does and why the hell would it be completly snapped and bodge welded?? Only had the car 4 months and very anooyed now this shouldnt happen to a newish car!!

Yeah i relised that when i got home and logged on here! I was fuming didnt think to take pics at the time, and agree hard to explain without pics.
