Default waterpump

how easy is it to change? bought the car 4 days ago its had 2 new rad hoses but car was leaking this morning from a bit futher back than hose on right hand side of bay, is that where the water pump is?? cheers

Water pump is on the extreme bottom-left (passenger side - with respect to sitting in the car staring through the windscreen lol)) of the block, where the bottom "?"-shaped rad leads to...

do you need to take the caseing off and timing belt to get into it.what kind on noise dose it make if its away??

Yes, timing chest off and remove belt (it drives the pump's wheel).

how much would a gararge charge to do this? i need the car, but have not got the time to fix it.

Anything up to £350 I think. That includes a supplied Gates/Subaru timing belt.

cars already had belt done, im told its a fairly simple job, as long as is timed up corectly.
