Default RS 500 intercooler

I have an RS500 intercooler from a previous car and im considering mounting this in front of the radiator. Has anyone tried this before? (same as lateral performance front mount)

The main reason i want to do this due to damaging the front end 2 times already, and i dont fancy forking out for repacement.

The car is used as a daily driver, so would i get any issues. (performance or other) .

I basically want to keep the intercooler inside the engine bay away from possible damage. Is there any other manufactures who supply intercoolers like the Lateral performance fmic? Without the damage to the wallet.

Surely you would be better to fit an efficient proven FMIC like a Hybrid for well under £300, avoid fitting issues and look at the causes for having front end shunts???
