just a qiukie

does anyone know if v5 sti heads will work with single coil packs?

or does anyone have pics of a st v5 head so that i can see

not sure, although that would be the least of your worries, how are you going to bolt the inlet manifold on?

thats sorted putting feet off sti5 inlet onto my v1 inlet and widening about 14mm just not sure if sti5 heads have bolt holes for coil packs or not? having never seen a sti5 head yet

All subaru heads can run with single coil packs assuming you have the ignition sorted.

They do have the bolt hole, but they're in a different place to the bolts on phase 1 coilpacks so not sure whether early ones will fit. Newage coil on plug units fit straight on - but as said above you'll need to sort out the ignition to suit.

Putting the "feet" off a version 5 manifold onto an earlier one sounds like an interesting job too - do you mean you're transplanting the entire outer branches of the manifold on, including fuel rails and so-on?

yes that was the plan i ahve someone to weld the manifold and the fuels rails will be kept the same will keep posted and put up pics when its done (if it works) lol
