Fuel Cut or Backfire

Fuel Cut or Backfire
With fuel cut, does it always just cut the fuel (i.e) hitting a wall or does it back fire loudly and hit a little wall.
my car is over boosting but not hitting a wall like my last 2 scoobys did when i changed a few things, with this car it is hitting around 1.2bar and then has a couple of loud-ish pops and drops of slightly.
please help
my car has the following
Adjustable fuel pressure reg
Full HKS exhaust system
HKS headers
Full De-cat
HKS Front Mount
