GB270 (PPP) Induction Kit?
Hi, Just purchased a GB270 and had it on the rolling road and can confirm with other GB270 owners that it infact only produces around 245 BHP dispite being called a 270!! So looking at a few simple mods to get it up a little like an induction kit but reading around this can cause a lot of issue with it running lean and may need mapping when fitted can anyone confirm this?
Cheers

Welcome. Don't bother with an induction kit. It won't get you a significant power increase because the standard induction tract - when fitted with a good quality performance panel filter, isn't anywhere close to being a bottleneck at the sort of power your engine is currently is capable of.
As you have heard elsewhere, induction kits can skew the airflow measurement, and the consequences of that can be both unpleasant and expensive. Even if you map around that, the money you'd have spent on the cone could have been better spent elsewhere.
The best way forward in this area is, as above, replacing the standard paper air filter with a good aftermarket (K&N/Green/Cosworth etc) alternative and then looking for power gains elsewhere.
